Raunaq Chodakar je umetnik koji hrabro prati svoj instinkt. Od sportskih početaka, preko modnih kampanja, pa sve do glume — njegova profesionalna putanja pokazuje spremnost na rizik, posvećenost i stalnu želju za napretkom. Danas je Raunaq lice koje privlači pažnju svojom energijom, radnom etikom i sposobnošću da se preobrazi u najrazličitije likove.

U razgovoru otkriva kako je izgledao njegov put, šta ga pokreće i gde vidi svoje naredne korake u svetu filma.

Počeli ste karijeru u fudbalu veoma mladi, zatim ste prešli na modnu pistu, a sada ste zakoračili u svet glume. Kako se taj prelazak, kroz toliko različite svetove odvijao?

Dok sam igrao fudbal, radio sam reklame i modeling za Abercrombie i Hollister, i shvatio sam da imam prirodno interesovanje i talenat za tu oblast. Volim da verujem da me je svaki korak u karijeri pripremio za sledeći uz više samopouzdanja, a to je ključ.

Gluma i modeling zahtevaju samopouzdanje i prisustvo. Kako se mentalno pripremate pre velikog snimanja ili audicije?

Pokušavam da se opustim i fokusiram na to kako mogu da unapredim projekat više nego što se očekuje. Vrlo sam praktičan i uvek pokušavam da razmišljam van okvira. Za mene je priprema jednako važna kao i sama izvedba.

Mnogi glumci kažu da ih svaka uloga nauči nečemu novom o njima samima. Da li je to tačno i u Vašem slučaju?

Da, donekle. Skakanje u duboku vodu tera vas da shvatite šta vas stvarno interesuje, a šta ne. Najbolji deo je to što vas čini efikasnijim i kao osobu i kao glumca.

Kako se uživite u lik pre snimanja ili scene? Imate li određenu rutinu ili način razmišljanja?

Mislim da je priprema važna, ali ne previše. Volim da imam opštu ideju o tome gde želim da idem, ali na sam dan snimanja, nekoliko sekundi pre klape, puštam da se sve prirodno odvija. Radi autentičnosti, najbolje mi je da u potpunosti uđem u lik tek kada se kamere uključe.

Pokazali ste veliku raznolikost u karijeri — od sportiste, preko modelinga, do glume. Šta Vam u glumi pruža najveće kreativno ispunjenje?

Najveće ispunjenje je igranje različitih likova i boravak u izmišljenom svetu neko vreme. Možete da kročite u tuđe cipele na određeni period. Takođe, osećam da gluma pomaže da veoma brzo rastete kao osoba.

Ako biste mogli da glumite u bilo kom rimejku ili adaptaciji, koju priču ili lik biste voleli da oživite?

The Dark Knight i Titanic. The Dark Knight je bio savršen, ali voleo bih da dam sopstveni pečat toj ulozi na način koji i dalje poštuje originalnu izvedbu. A Titanic zato što je bezvremenski.

Postoje li režiseri ili glumci sa kojima sanjate da sarađujete u budućnosti?

Od režisera — Braća Ruso, njihov način režije je univerzalan.
Od glumaca: Bryan Cranston, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, i Henry Cavill. Oni su najbolji, i rad sa bilo kim od njih naučio bi me mnogo o glumačkom zanatu.

Today, Raunaq is a face that draws attention with his energy, work ethic, and ability to transform into a wide range of characters.

You started your career in football at a young age, then moved to the runway, and now into acting. How did that transformation across such different worlds unfold?

When I played football, I did ads and modeling for Abercrombie and Hollister, and I realized I had a natural interest and talent for that field. I like to think every step of my career prepared me for the next one with more confidence, which is key.

Acting and modeling both demand confidence and presence. How do you prepare yourself mentally before a big shoot or audition?

I try to relax and focus on how I can make the project better than what’s expected. I have a very hands-on approach and always try to think outside the box. For me, preparation is just as important as the performance itself.

Many actors say that each role teaches them something new about themselves. Has that been true for you?

Yes, to an extent. Jumping into the deep end makes you realize what interests you and what doesn’t. The best part is that it makes you more efficient as a person and as an actor.

How do you get into character before a shoot or a scene? Do you have a specific routine or mindset?

I think homework is important, but not too much. I like having a general idea of where I want to go, but on the day of the shoot, a few seconds before the take, I let it unfold naturally. For authenticity, it’s best for me to slip fully into character only when the cameras are rolling.

You’ve shown real versatility — from athlete to model to actor. What do you find most creatively fulfilling about acting?

The most fulfilling part is playing different characters and living in a fictional world for a while. You get to step into someone else’s shoes for a set amount of time. I also feel acting helps you grow as a person very quickly.

If you could star in any remake or adaptation, which story or character would you love to bring to life?

The Dark Knight and Titanic. The Dark Knight was perfect, but I’d love to bring my own twist to that role in a way that still respects the original performance. And Titanic, because it’s timeless.

Are there any directors or actors you dream of collaborating with in the future?

For directors, the Russo Brothers — their way of directing speaks universally.
For actors: Bryan Cranston, Leonardo DiCaprio, Christian Bale, and Henry Cavill. They’re the best, and working with any of them would teach me so much about the craft.
