Fariba Rahimi: O poslu, modelingu, slavi i stvarnom životu

Košulja, sako i pantalone: Celine by Hedi Slimane; Šešir: Virginie O

Sako: Elie Saab

Haljina i šorts: Dior

Supermodel and entrepreneur who runs one of the most successful facilities management companies in Norway, Fariba Rahimi, has worked with fashion houses like Versace and Calvin Klein, and appeared in the cover images of Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Vanity Teen, Glamour, Elle, and other top magazines.

Even though her relationship with fame goes way back, this advocate for women’s rights, insists on the difference between life on TV and real life.

HARPER’S BAZAAR: Most of your followers feel like they know you as you’re a public personality. But is there anything that your followers would be surprised to find out about you?

FARIBA RAHIMI: Contrary to what my fans see in the photos, I actually am quite a jolly and happy person. I love to smile and laugh. You may have seen me with the same facial expression in most of my photoshoots, but that’s only because I’m “supposed” to look nonchalant and calm. Those who truly know me, know that I love to laugh, make jokes, and make others around me smile.

HB: That’s actually quite true. People often bombard the comments section of many celebrities’ profiles with negativity just because they look a certain way for their job. Does this negativity affect you?

FR: I would be lying if I said it doesn’t. There was a time when it used to affect me. Online negativity has brought me down several times. People thought I was rude in person. But I realized that every celebrity’s comments section is the same. A few bad comments do not define you. So I focus on the fact that the good comments and appreciation I get from my fans would always outweigh the negativity.

HB: People see you on Instagram and believe that you are just a supermodel. Is there more to you than meets the eye?

FR: Definitely. Not many people can tell from my Instagram that I’m also a businesswoman. Before being a model, I’m an entrepreneur running a highly successful business in Norway. My Instagram only represents a small part of my life. There’s so much more than meets the eye, which is why I always say not to judge a book by its cover.

HB: Have you ever had fans recognize you in public and come to you for selfies? How do you respond to them?

FR: Many times. In fact, whenever I step out into public, I have people waiting to take selfies with me. Fans would come up to me randomly in a mall and ask for selfies. I actually greet them with deep compassion because that’s how I was raised. I love meeting my fans and taking selfies with them and giving them hugs. I treat everyone around me equally because I know that treating them nicely would go a long way for them.

GH: Another thing people don’t realize about you is that you’re a homebody.

HB: Do you ever just stop being Fariba Rahimi and act like a normal woman who wants to stay back at home and relax?

FR: Several times! In fact, one of the things I do for self-care is to pretend that I’m just a normal girl living a normal life. I stop being Fariba Rahimi in that moment and just take a few minutes to escape reality. It actually feels so therapeutic.

HB: We totally agree! Self-care is so important and everyone has different ways to do it. So would you say that you like staying home?

FR: Definitely! I barely get to stay home every week. My routine is so busy that I only come home to sleep. So in the rare times that I get time to stay home, I truly cherish those moments. I love being around the people who love me. I love spending time with my close friends and family. Despite what people may think, going out is the last thing I’d do on a weekend. I’m a total homebody!

HB: What else do you do to relax and take care of yourself?

FR: I work out every morning. It helps me stay positive all day long. I also have a proper skincare routine that I follow every morning and at night before bed. During this time, I just keep my phone away and follow my skincare routine thoroughly. It feels so zen, taking care of your skin. I also do not compromise on my sleep. I always make sure to go to bed on time and wake up early. I never miss my sleep.
